A Numerical method for solving Systems of Linear and Nonlinear Fredholm Integral Equations by Modified Hat Functions Equations

چکیده مقاله:
In this paper, a new modification of hat functions is proposed for solving system of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. By using modification of new hat functions and their operational matrix of integration, the second kind integral equation can be reduced to a linear lower triangular system which can be directly solved by forward substitution. This article proposes a direct method to solve these equations. Integral equations of the second kind are inherently ill-posed problems, meaning that the solution is generally unstable, and small changes to the problem can make very large changes to the answers obtained. Operational matrix of modification of new hat functions is used in this paper and by their operational matrix, the equation reduces to a well-condition system of algebraic equations that can be solved directly .The error analysis is discussed. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the efficiency and accuracy of the method.
